This isn't caused by wifi, this is caused by the game itself. One sided rollbacks are pretty much random, the game sends all the lag towards one player and only one player no matter the internet connection. In fact, those matches where you're playing fine could very well be matches where the opponent is being affected by one sided rollback without you knowing it. Those two things are completely different issues. I'm talking about one sided rollbacks, not about bad internet.

However most of my laggy games are with other PS4 users for the aforementioned reason I play SFV on PS4 but I'm wired into my modem and a majority of my games are smooth and I get constant rematches. They say wifi and wired back no difference when this is blatantly incorrect do to the nature of wifi. With how terrible the PS4 wifi is it just compounds the roll back issue SFV has. It wasn't so much the net-code but the reason PS4 players always rolled back for a lot of people is a lot of console players are hard headily stubborn when it comes to Wifi. Well rednavi is a tad incorrect and tad correct.

SFV netcode isn't as bad as its thought to be, its just people refuse to get decent internet or have decent internet and refuse to wire it in and stop playing wifi like a neanderthal. However most of my laggy games are with other PS4 users for the aforementioned reason.

Those issues happen even when you fight against someone using the same platform as yours.

Let’s just hope this good nature continues with Xbox Series X and the PS5.Publicado originalmente por Rednavi:The one sided rollbacks are a problem of the netcode itself, it has nothing to do with crossplay. An open ecosystem is almost always beneficial to gamers, especially as more companies get into game streaming. Though I’ve personally had my fun with MK11 and called it a day, it’s great to see these features cropping up more often. Despite multiplayer working on both platforms, you also won’t be able to play on PS4 and carry your progress over to Xbox. Admittedly, catering to various control methods while keeping things fair can be difficult. It’s also won’t support Switch or Stadia quite yet. Unfortunately, NetherRealm has no plans to tie in PC at this time. Call of Duty Modern Warfare is one of the rare titles to support cross-play across PC, Xbox, and PS4.

Sony’s previous reason for blocking cross-play was a need to protect users across its network, but it’s become laxer in recent times. It also denied cross-play to Epic’s Fortnite, before backing down. Developers have traditionally struggled to implement crossplay between the consoles, with Sony shutting down both Microsoft’s Minecraft and Rocket League creator Psyonix in the past.
